Job Description

CCS Facility Services stands as one of the United States' largest building service contractors, renowned for delivering expert janitorial and facility engineering services to a vast array of commercial businesses across the country. The company operates with a deep pool of experienced cleaning and engineering professionals whose expertise enables CCS to maintain high standards of cleanliness and facility maintenance for its clients. Founded on the principle of a Service Heart, CCS is dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through exceptional service and an unwavering commitment to quality. This dedication makes CCS a trusted partner for many commercial enterprises seeking top-tier facility management solutions.

CCS Facility Services takes pride in being a company built to serve, emphasizing a passion for outstanding customer service and employee engagement. Their corporate culture fosters a strong sense of community among colleagues, cultivated through investments in employee growth, recognition, and opportunities for advancement from within the organization. Employees at CCS are supported by attentive management and benefit from an inclusive workplace that values dependability, safety, and operational excellence.

The Day Porter role is an essential position within CCS’s janitorial team, charged with maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas in office buildings, apartment complexes, and similar commercial or institutional properties. This role demands vigilance in preserving the aesthetic appeal and functionality of these areas, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for tenants, employees, and visitors alike.

Responsibilities unique to the Day Porter include spot cleaning lobby glass doors, polishing chrome on lobby doors, vacuuming and wiping elevator cabs multiple times daily, and conducting routine inspections of the building exterior to manage trash and debris removal. Day Porters also perform cleaning duties such as emptying ashtrays and sand urns on every floor, sweeping stairwells and landings, and checking restrooms twice daily to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.

Additionally, the role involves maintaining outdoor landscaping areas by removing debris, sweeping building entrances, cleaning and removing smudges from walls and doors, and reporting facility maintenance issues like burnt-out lights or solicitors to building management. Supporting building engineers as needed and performing high-traffic area policing are key functions aimed at sustaining a pristine and secure environment. The job also requires dust mopping floors twice daily and polishing elevator fixtures and call buttons to uphold a polished look throughout the premises.

Success in this position requires exemplary attendance and punctuality, dependability in following instructions and completing tasks timely, and a strong commitment to safety and security protocols. Candidates should be comfortable working in environments that may occasionally expose them to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions, all while maintaining a responsible approach to workplace safety.

With a supportive work environment and modern payment options like DailyPay, CCS Facility Services offers a fulfilling career opportunity for individuals seeking a stable job with room for growth in the building services industry. Joining CCS means becoming part of a company that truly values its employees and is dedicated to delivering the best customer experience possible through a service-oriented and team-driven approach.
