Our expanding Janitorial Business proudly serves the Peninsula and South Bay Territories, specializing in providing comprehensive cleaning and maintenance services to commercial clients. We are currently seeking a qualified Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter role is pivotal in ensuring that client facilities are clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the business day. This position involves managing various janitorial tasks, customer service duties, and facility maintenance activities that are essential to maintaining a professional environment. The ideal candidate will possess general cleaning skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities to effectively interact with vendors and building occupants. This role requires the candidate to be proactive about inspecting vacant suites for deficiencies, cleaning vacancies, setting up conference rooms, maintaining kitchen and lounge areas, and managing recycling efforts.
The Day Porter must be physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and clients. Computer literacy is also required to facilitate proper recording and documentation of maintenance records and to close work orders digitally. The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license compliant with the California Vehicle Code and have reliable transportation due to the travel requirements between various client locations. This position is best suited for individuals who thrive in team-oriented settings, demonstrate a positive attitude, and have the capability to multitask while meeting strict quality standards.

Job Requirements
- Must have own transportation as the position requires travel to various locations
- Basic knowledge of standard janitorial duties, cleaning techniques, products and equipment preferred
- High school diploma/GED required or equivalent work experience in lieu of
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety data sheets (SDS), operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Must be able to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to multitask in a fast pace work environment
- Be able to work in a team oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude at all times, and assist the team/department to complete goals
- Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Normally three years of experience in janitorial cleaning
- Must possess a valid driver's license that meet the California Vehicle Code
- Must be computer literate to the extent required to perform job functions and proper recording and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with client, supervisor, and coworkers
- Basic knowledge of janitorial duties, cleaning techniques, products and equipment preferred
