The position of Day Porter at Holladay plays a crucial role in supporting this mission by maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned properties, thereby enhancing the properties’ appearance and ensuring they remain inviting and safe environments for tenants and visitors. The Day Porter will carry out routine housekeeping and groundskeeping duties under the direction of the Property Manager and will also assist on-site staff with various tasks as required. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual comfortable working independently while embodying Holladay’s core values of community, service, and integrity.

This full-time position involves a variety of tasks including daily property inspections to identify trash, debris, and potential safety hazards, all to be promptly reported to the senior building engineer or property manager. The Day Porter will be responsible for sweeping parking lots, walkways, entryways, and hallways, as well as performing daily cleaning and maintenance of grounds and common areas. Critical responsibilities also include maintaining external fixtures, ensuring light fixtures are clean and operational, and assisting with the preparation of vacant suites to ensure they meet move-in standards.

In addition to general cleaning duties, the role includes basic landscaping responsibilities such as planting flowers and shrubs, watering, mowing, weeding, and trimming bushes, along with snow removal operations as needed. The position emphasizes high attention to detail and a commitment to safety, requiring someone who can handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain composure under pressure.
