Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass background checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 40 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for tasks
- Basic physical fitness for emergency response
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Clear vision with or without correction
- Ability to differentiate color-coded warning signs and labels
- Ability to work in various temperature environments
- Capability to work outdoors in different weather
- Ability to work in elevated noise levels with hearing protection
- Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel
- Customer service experience preferred
- One year of similar work experience preferred
Job Duties
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures
- Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or by using hand trucks to clean areas
- Removes stains from surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors
- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas including spot cleaning treatment
- Gathers and empties trash
- Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms
- Periodically cleans overhead vents, dusts blinds, and polishes wood furniture
- Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners
- Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events
- Keeps janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintains equipment in good working order
- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Monitors building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
