SBM Management is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join their growing team. This role combines custodial responsibilities with customer service duties, making it ideal for individuals who have strong customer service skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with team members. The Custodian/CSR will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety within various facilities while interacting professionally with co-workers and customers. The position requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow explicit oral and written instructions. Responsibilities include floor care such as vacuuming and mopping, surface care including dusting and sanitizing, waste removal, light maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with all safety rules and company policies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate good judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to explain work methods or instructions when necessary. They may also assist in training new team members or demonstrating work processes. This role is vital in maintaining a clean and safe environment while supporting the overall customer satisfaction goals of SBM Management. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $17.00 and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words
- Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Know American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and volume such as cups, pints, quarts, and gallons
- Required to have a valid driver's license if driving own or company vehicle on business
- Must have proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
Job Qualifications

- Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Duties
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- Conduct surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, and polishing metal and wood surfaces
- Remove waste by emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to disposal areas
- Perform light maintenance duties like replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Follow company protocols and respond to supervision
- Use proper personal protective equipment and maintain a professional appearance
- Understand and execute reporting systems and environmental safety standards
- Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables
- Clean and organize common areas including lobbies, conference rooms, restrooms, and break rooms
- Assist janitorial staff with restocking supplies
- Perform spot cleaning of upholstered furniture and carpets
- Clean elevators and dust open common spaces
