To support this vibrant community and maintain the high standards of hospitality, The Root is seeking a Day-Of Events Host to assist in bringing their event programming to life. This role focuses on providing on-the-ground support during public-facing events ensuring seamless execution and memorable experiences for guests. The position requires flexibility, as evening and weekend availability is essential, along with some daytime coordination responsibilities.

The Day-Of Events Host plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of various events and community engagements at The Root. This includes coordinating event logistics, overseeing setup and breakdown, and acting as the key point of contact for clients and vendors throughout events. Managing audiovisual equipment, arranging room layouts, coordinating catering services, and ensuring the overall event flow reflect the company’s hospitality values are important aspects of this role. Additionally, the Host will work collaboratively with the team to develop and promote recurring events that strengthen community bonds and create positive, engaging atmospheres for attendees.
