Job Duties
- Help coordinate logistics for events, private bookings, and community programming
- be on-site for event setup, execution, and breakdown including evenings and weekends
- serve as one of the location's point of contact for event clients and vendors
- manage AV, room setup, catering coordination, and event flow
- work with the team to develop recurring event concepts that build community
- ensure the space is guest-ready and reflects The Root's hospitality standards
- answer questions and address concerns of guests in a charming, polite manner
- ensure that the event space is clean prior to and after the event
- double-check that all health safety measures are observed and that staffs are well-versed in emergency protocols
- create a positive, relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy themselves
