Job Description

The Root Coworking is a dynamic and growing coworking brand dedicated to creating vibrant workspaces that foster community and productivity. Founded in 2019 with its initial location in Tulsa, Oklahoma, The Root has expanded its presence with four locations scattered across the Midwest, and continues to grow. The company prides itself on developing intentional partnerships, offering innovative designs, and curating experiences that celebrate local creativity and diversity. At the heart of The Root's mission is the desire to connect a diverse network of professionals who value not only what they accomplish at work, but the environment in which they work. By providing top-tier workspaces, exceptional amenities, and superior services within modern, thoughtfully designed environments, The Root cultivates thriving business communities where members feel a genuine sense of belonging and are excited to return each day.

The Root's newest location is situated in Omaha's Builders District at 1501 Mike Fahey Street, serving as a central hub for entrepreneurs, creatives, and community builders. Hospitality lies at the core of the brand's identity, infusing energy and care into every workspace, meeting room, and event. To support this vibrant community and maintain the high standards of hospitality, The Root is seeking a Day-Of Events Host to assist in bringing their event programming to life. This role focuses on providing on-the-ground support during public-facing events ensuring seamless execution and memorable experiences for guests. Managing audiovisual equipment, arranging room layouts, coordinating catering services, and ensuring the overall event flow reflect the company’s hospitality values are important aspects of this role. Additionally, the Host will work collaboratively with the team to develop and promote recurring events that strengthen community bonds and create positive, engaging atmospheres for attendees.

A guest-ready space that meets health and safety standards is paramount, and the Day-Of Events Host is expected to maintain cleanliness and enforce emergency protocols while delivering courteous and professional service. This position offers a chance to be part of a fast-growing coworking brand that prioritizes community, creativity, and exceptional service. Compensation is competitive at $25 per hour, with hours varying according to the seasonal event calendar. The Root values diversity and inclusion and is committed to building an inclusive community for all members and staff. This role is ideal for someone with event coordination or hospitality experience, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a passion for creating memorable event experiences in a community-centric workspace environment.
