Job Description

CCS Facility Services is one of the largest building service contractors in the United States, providing expert janitorial and facility engineering services to thousands of commercial businesses. With a deep bench of experienced cleaning and engineering professionals, CCS is recognized for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The company is guided by a 'Service Heart' philosophy, emphasizing passion, dedication, and a relentless drive to exceed customer expectations. CCS operates with a strong foundation built on its people, ensuring investments in employee growth and internal promotion, creating a supportive and value-driven workplace culture.

Operating across multiple locations, CCS Facility Services caters to various commercial and institutional clients, delivering top-tier maintenance and cleaning services. This includes janitorial services, facility engineering, and routine upkeep designed to maintain the operational excellence and appearance of client facilities. The team is empowered to deliver exceptional service, contributing positively to the environment and functionality of the buildings they maintain.

The current opportunity is for a Day Porter position with CCS Facility Services. The role involves maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in a clean and orderly condition. This is a part-time role spread across three separate locations with a weekly commitment of 5.75 hours. The schedule includes working on Fridays for 3.75 hours across three locations, and 1 hour each on Saturdays and Sundays at one location respectively.

The role centers on performing essential maintenance tasks such as spot cleaning lobby glass doors, polishing chrome on lobby doors, vacuuming and wiping elevator cabs, inspecting outdoor areas for trash, and cleaning ashtrays and sand urns on every floor. Additional responsibilities include emptying and cleaning exterior trash receptacles, checking restrooms twice daily, sweeping stairwells and building entrances, and removing debris from landscaped areas. The Day Porter also polices the lobby to keep areas free from debris and paper, ensures carpeted floors are vacuumed, and assists the building engineer as needed under management's discretion.

Candidates must demonstrate strong dependability, punctuality, and the ability to follow safety and security procedures. The role requires an individual who can manage time effectively, show commitment to completing tasks, and take responsibility for their actions. The work environment involves moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemical fumes, outdoor weather conditions, and other potential hazards. Reasonable accommodations are supported to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Joining CCS Facility Services means becoming part of a vibrant community of professionals who are passionate about their work and guided by core values that foster both employee and customer satisfaction. The company prides itself on a culture that recognizes and promotes talent from within, ensuring a supportive and rewarding career path for its employees. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to a leading building services company with a strong reputation for service excellence and employee development.
