Job Description

CCS Facility Services is one of the largest and most respected building service contractors in the United States. With a long-standing commitment to excellence, CCS delivers expert janitorial and facility engineering services to thousands of commercial businesses across the country. The company prides itself on a deep bench of experienced cleaning and engineering professionals who uphold the highest standards of service quality. At CCS, the philosophy guiding every employee is a Service Heart—an earnest passion to exceed customer expectations and deliver unparalleled service in every facility they manage. CCS is a company Built to Serve, with a culture centered around dedication, reliability, and continuous improvement. Employees are valued as the cornerstone of the company’s success. CCS Facility Services fosters an inclusive environment where ongoing development and internal promotions are strongly encouraged, creating a workplace community of passionate and motivated individuals driven to excel in their roles. The company embraces core values that unify its workforce and enable a best-in-class employee and customer experience.

The Day Floater position plays a crucial role within CCS Facility Services, especially in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas in office buildings, apartment houses, and other commercial or institutional buildings. This role is designed for individuals who take pride in detailed cleaning responsibilities and enjoy ensuring a welcoming environment for building occupants and visitors. The Day Floater’s primary responsibility is to keep high-traffic areas such as lobbies, elevator cabs, stairwells, and building entrances spotless and organized. This includes spot cleaning glass doors, polishing chrome surfaces, vacuuming carpets, sweeping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and monitoring restrooms to ensure cleanliness and functionality. Additional tasks include inspecting the building exterior to remove trash, cleaning ashtrays and sand urns on each floor, and reporting maintenance issues such as burnt-out lights or unauthorized solicitors to management.

An essential aspect of the role is the ability to police the lobby area during high-traffic times to maintain a debris-free and pleasant environment. The Day Floater also assists the building engineer under management’s discretion, supporting overall facility operations. Ideal candidates possess strong dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and security protocols. The position involves moderate physical activity and may expose employees to outdoor conditions, moving machinery, or chemicals, necessitating adherence to safety guidelines.

In summary, the Day Floater at CCS Facility Services is not merely a custodian role but an integral component of the company’s service excellence. The job provides an excellent opportunity for those seeking stable employment in a reputable and people-focused company that recognizes and rewards hard work and commitment. CCS Facility Services encourages applicants who share its Service Heart passion to join its team and contribute to the company's mission of delivering exceptional facilities maintenance services. The work environment is supportive and centered on mutual respect and growth, making it an attractive workplace for individuals aiming to build a rewarding career in facility services.
