The Janitorial Cleaner role at ABM is vital in maintaining a pristine, safe, and orderly environment throughout assigned facilities. This position contributes significantly to the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace, thereby ensuring a welcoming and positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors alike. The role involves performing a variety of routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces, alongside sanitizing restrooms, replenishing supplies, and adhering to hygiene standards rigorously. The cleaner is responsible for disposing of trash and recycling correctly, cleaning windows and glass surfaces, and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies properly. Reporting safety hazards, maintenance issues, or supply shortages to the supervisor is integral to this role, ensuring continual safety and operational efficiency within the facilities.

Those in this role also assist with setting up and cleaning up for meetings, events, or special projects, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to support varied facility needs. The position requires strict adherence to all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation, underscoring the company’s commitment to health standards. This role typically operates within the shift schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, from 3 pm to 11:30 pm. Compensation starts from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on shift selection, reflecting ABM's recognition of the importance of this work.
