As a globally recognized brand under Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton prides itself on maintaining the highest standards of service and luxury, creating memorable moments for its guests through impeccable attention to detail and outstanding customer care. This renowned hotel is part of a larger portfolio of award-winning properties worldwide, known for its dedication to excellence and culture that fosters creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion among its associates. The Ritz-Carlton stands as a leader in the hospitality industry, offering not just a job but a chance to be part of a team that values diversity, inclusion, and the unique talents and backgrounds of all its employees.
The position available is a full-time, non-management Guest Service Expert role within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category. This role is not remote and requires working the morning shift at the New Orleans location. The pay range for this position is $7.25 per hour. As a Guest Service Expert, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guests' dining experience. Your responsibilities will include setting tables, communicating with the kitchen staff, serving guests, and maintaining clean work areas and supplies. Your actions will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience by ensuring that service transactions are smooth, welcoming, and professional.
Success in this role involves commitment to creating a safe work environment while strictly adhering to Marriott International's policies and procedures. Maintaining quality standards consistently is critical, and your personal appearance, uniform, and communication must reflect professionalism at all times. The role requires that candidates be physically capable of being on their feet, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and handling physical tasks such as lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds with assistance. This hands-on approach is essential to meet the demands of the position effectively and ensure that every guest has a memorable and unique dining experience.
At The Ritz-Carlton, you will be supported to grow by embracing the company’s Gold Standards, including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values that define the brand’s culture and commitment to excellence. These standards are not just guidelines but the foundation of the guest service experience that sets The Ritz-Carlton apart from other luxury hotels worldwide. Joining The Ritz-Carlton team means you will belong to a global community of hospitality professionals dedicated to making every guest interaction special. It is more than a job – it is an opportunity to begin your purpose, belong to an exceptional team, and become the best version of yourself in a nurturing and challenging environment where your contributions are valued and rewarded.
