Job Description

Situated at 921 Canal St, New Orleans, Louisiana, The Ritz-Carlton is part of Marriott International's distinguished portfolio, renowned globally for its dedication to luxury hospitality and exceptional guest experiences. As a leading luxury hotel brand, The Ritz-Carlton has set the standard for service excellence through its commitment to the "Gold Standards," including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values that shape its culture and daily operations. The Ritz-Carlton operates over 100 award-winning properties worldwide, attracting top hospitality professionals who are passionate about curating lasting memories for guests and fostering an empowering, inclusive work environment.

The Guest Service Expert role at The Ritz-Carlton is a vital position within its Food and Beverage & Culinary category, offering full-time, evening-shift employment at an hourly wage of $7.25. This non-management role is designed to provide guests with memorable dining experiences that go beyond simple food service. A Guest Service Expert at The Ritz-Carlton is expected to take initiative in delivering a broad range of services that enhance the overall guest experience, including setting tables, communicating effectively with kitchen staff, serving guests thoughtfully, and maintaining cleanliness and order in dining and preparation areas.

Additionally, the role demands physical stamina and attention to detail—experts must manage environments that involve standing, walking, and moving over uneven or slippery surfaces for extended periods. They engage in moderate physical tasks such as lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds unaided or up to 50 pounds with assistance, bending, twisting, and reaching during their work. The role is integral to upholding the company's high standards of quality, safety, professionalism in appearance and communication, and adherence to Marriott International’s policies and procedures.

Working as a Guest Service Expert at The Ritz-Carlton means joining a team where respect for diverse backgrounds and equal opportunity employment are core values. The company fosters a welcoming atmosphere where the unique talents and experiences of all associates are celebrated, emphasizing non-discrimination on any protected basis. This culture not only cultivates personal growth but also drives operational success—making The Ritz-Carlton a global brand leader in luxury hospitality.

As part of the team, individuals will engage deeply with the hotel's Gold Standards, learning to embody service excellence and thoughtful, gracious care. This position is crafted to provide associates with the chance to be proud of their work and their colleagues, supporting them in becoming the best version of themselves. Employees in this role contribute directly to the hallmark Ritz-Carlton experience, ensuring guests not only enjoy their meals but also take with them memories of exceptional, personalized care—a testament to the brand's promise and legacy.

Joining The Ritz-Carlton guest service team means more than just a job; it represents an opportunity to build a meaningful career in hospitality, connect with a diverse and talented global workforce, and play a part in shaping extraordinary guest experiences that stand the test of time. It is a role where every interaction counts, and where each day brings the challenge and reward of impeccable service in an inspiring environment.
