The CIA is currently seeking a Data Lifecycle Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis. This role offers a competitive salary range between $74,584 and $156,755 annually, with the possibility of a higher starting salary depending on experience. As a Data Lifecycle Specialist, your primary responsibility is to enable effective organizational data management that increases discoverability, enhances retrieval, and facilitates the dissemination of information to intended audiences. You will be instrumental in overseeing the entire lifecycle of data - from creation and storage to review, classification guidance, and eventual release for public access or internal use.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design innovative search strategies, managing data across diverse datasets and digital systems. Your work directly impacts the agency's ability to deliver timely and relevant intelligence to its customers. You will provide expert advice on how to catalog, store, and maintain records, ensuring compliance with the Federal Records Act and related executive orders. An essential part of your duties will include analyzing information to determine its releasability status, contributing critical classification guidance, and utilizing specialized tools to support activities aligned with the Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and other relevant laws.

Your responsibilities will include interpreting complex statutes and regulations governing federal data, consulting on curation and archiving procedures, defining data standards, and enabling data exchange protocols that support sharing, exploitation, management, and production efforts within the agency. A key component of your position will be to apply critical thinking and logical analysis to synthesize information from multiple sources, thereby enhancing data discoverability and retrievability.
