As the core foundation supporting this revolutionary cloud ecosystem, AWS operates numerous data centers staffed by expert teams dedicated to maintaining and enhancing its infrastructure. These data centers host vast arrays of servers, storage, networking equipment, power systems, and cooling facilities that ensure the continuous availability and performance of AWS cloud services.

This position is for a Data Center Technician who will join the dynamic AWS Infrastructure Services team. This team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The role is critical as it involves maintaining the heartbeat of the world's most innovative technology platform by ensuring seamless data center operations. The technician plays a pivotal role in hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair of equipment, and active participation in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations.

As a Data Center Technician, you will be embedded in a multidisciplinary and diverse team including software engineers, hardware specialists, network engineers, supply chain experts, security personnel, and operations managers. You will collaborate extensively with various internal stakeholders such as engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors to uphold the highest standards of safety, security, and operational excellence. The role supports facilities in various operational stages, requiring travel and adaptability to different environments. Relocation stipends are provided for eligible candidates, and the schedule includes shift work covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure non-stop operations.

This opportunity offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $30 to $54 based on experience and qualifications. AWS also provides a comprehensive benefits package inclusive of health insurance options, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. The company fosters an inclusive culture that empowers innovation, professional growth, and ownership of impactful projects. AWS is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and accommodating applicants with disabilities through inclusive hiring practices.
