We are recruiting for the position of Data Center Technician focusing on networking within a large-scale data center environment located onsite in Chandler, Arizona. This is a full-time, contract-based role that commands a competitive pay range of $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate is technically adept and thrives in hands-on operational roles that demand precision and meticulous attention to detail. Responsibilities center on supporting mission-critical operations through structured cabling, rack-and-stack activities, hardware installation, and connectivity troubleshooting, ensuring the high availability and reliability of data center infrastructure.
In this role, Data Center Technicians will work with copper and fiber optic cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, singlemode, and multimode fiber. The job requires installation, labeling, termination, and testing of cabling systems and hardware components such as patch panels, connectors, and network jacks. Rack and stack tasks involve mounting servers, network switches, power distribution units, and other related hardware in structured data center environments while maintaining cable management standards. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with cable testing tools and certification processes, guaranteeing executed work meets quality standards. Additionally, this role supports server deployments by assisting with circuit board installations and tray builds.
The position demands the ability to route cabling through various pathways such as ceilings, raised floors, and ladder racks while ensuring organized and neat setups that facilitate easy maintenance and troubleshooting. Working onsite within a data center entails adherence to protocols that protect sensitive infrastructure and comply with safety regulations.
