This position is for a Datacenter Technician Level 2 located onsite in Santa Clara, CA. This long-term contract role focuses on the installation and maintenance of data center hardware and infrastructure. Initially, the technician will dedicate several months concentrating on installation and in-rack cabling activities before transitioning to break/fix operations within the data center. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting and repair of servers to isolate issues, replace faulty components, update firmware, configure IP addresses and login credentials, and collaborate closely with network administrators to support both servers and switches. The work requires expertise in racking, stacking, cabling, hardware maintenance, and Linux system troubleshooting. Additionally, the technician will temporarily rack and stack devices to facilitate network configurations performed remotely by administrators. There is also an expectation to assist with Level 1 responsibilities as needed.

Candidates must demonstrate genuine Level 2 break/fix experience, meaning they perform hands-on repairs and troubleshooting rather than simply providing remote guidance. Two recent, valid references attesting to this level of expertise are required. The pay rate for this role is fixed at $75 per hour. Benefits available for eligible contractors include medical, dental, vision coverage, critical illness and accident insurance, 401(k) retirement plans with both pre-tax and Roth options, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, health spending accounts, transportation benefits, employee assistance programs, and paid time off. This role supports a vital part of the data center operations team, providing essential technical services to maintain uptime and operational efficiency for critical infrastructure. The work is fully onsite, fostering close collaboration and immediate response within the data center environment.
