Johnson Controls is a global diversified technology and multi-industrial leader serving a wide range of customers in more than 150 countries. With a rich history spanning over a century, the company focuses on creating smart, sustainable solutions that maximize energy efficiency and operational performance in buildings, data centers, and industrial facilities. Renowned for its innovations in building management systems, HVAC equipment, and security solutions, Johnson Controls plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of smart infrastructure worldwide. Their Data Centers division is particularly critical, offering advanced solutions designed to ensure uptime, efficiency, and resilience for some of the world’s most important digital infrastructures.

Johnson Controls is currently seeking an accomplished Global Events Leader to drive the strategic planning, development, and execution of all global event programs for their Data Centers division. This highly visible and impactful role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the technology or data center sectors. Responsibilities include developing a comprehensive global events strategy, creating a long-range event roadmap, and serving as the subject-matter expert for event marketing best practices and innovation. The role also entails building standardized frameworks for agenda planning, content strategy, speaker selection, experiential design, and key performance indicators to ensure consistency and excellence across all events. Collaboration is critical, as the Global Events Leader will lead cross-functional teams comprising product marketing, sales, regional leaders, executive leadership, and communications to align messaging and audience engagement.

Operational duties include managing budgets, vendor and venue selection, sponsorships, on-site staffing, and overseeing all logistical aspects to maintain budget controls while ensuring measurable return on investment. The position requires establishing standardized planning processes, post-event reporting, and driving continuous improvement through analytic insights. Additionally, the Global Events Leader will define and monitor KPIs related to pipeline contribution, brand visibility, customer engagement, and overall event experience, delivering executive-level reporting tied directly to business outcomes. This role encourages experimentation with new event formats, technologies, and hybrid approaches to keep Johnson Controls at the forefront of impactful event marketing.

The hiring salary range is $126,000 to $189,000, depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and market alignment. The role includes a competitive bonus plan based on individual, group, and corporate performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Johnson Controls is committed to diversity and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply. This position may require up to 30% global travel. Candidates should be prepared to operate effectively across global time zones and cultures, demonstrating strong leadership in global event management and strategic marketing within the technology or data center industries.
