The role of Dairy Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is an exciting and dynamic position responsible for overseeing one of the most visited departments in the store — the Dairy Department. This position offers the unique challenge of managing a "store within a store" where the focus is on delivering extraordinary customer service while maximizing sales and profits. The Dairy Manager leads the department by directing clerks, maintaining presentation and sanitation standards, and ensuring product freshness and appropriate inventory levels.

This full-time role requires a hands-on approach to managing departmental operations, including ordering, stocking, rotating products, and handling price changes. It also involves coaching and evaluating team members, participating actively in store meetings, and collaborating with the Store Manager in hiring, promoting, and addressing team member concerns. Safety, health regulations, and Weights and Measures compliance are critical to the position, along with maintaining a Food Handlers permit.

The Dairy Manager must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with physical demands such as standing for extended periods and lifting items, as well as operating equipment like knives, scales, compactors, and pallet jacks. Strong communication skills, the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and an outgoing and positive attitude are essential.
