Job Description
Sprouts Farmers Market is a rapidly growing retailer specializing in fresh, natural, and organic products with a focus on customer service. This company is known for its neighborhood grocery stores that offer high-quality farm fresh produce, natural meats, and a wide variety of scoop-your-own bulk goods in a friendly and fast-paced environment. Sprouts fosters an inclusive, respectful, and caring workplace culture, supporting employee growth through Team Member Resource Groups that celebrate diversity and encourage professional development. The company employs individuals who are passionate about healthy living and who thrive in a collaborative team setting. Sprouts Farmers Market is committed to delivering exceptional service and quality to its customers, making it a leader in the grocery retail industry with opportunities for career growth.
The role of Dairy Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is an exciting and dynamic position responsible for overseeing one of the most visited departments in the store — the Dairy Department. This position offers the unique challenge of managing a "store within a store" where the focus is on delivering extraordinary customer service while maximizing sales and profits. The Dairy Manager leads the department by directing clerks, maintaining presentation and sanitation standards, and ensuring product freshness and appropriate inventory levels.
This full-time role requires a hands-on approach to managing departmental operations, including ordering, stocking, rotating products, and handling price changes. It also involves coaching and evaluating team members, participating actively in store meetings, and collaborating with the Store Manager in hiring, promoting, and addressing team member concerns. Safety, health regulations, and Weights and Measures compliance are critical to the position, along with maintaining a Food Handlers permit.
The Dairy Manager must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with physical demands such as standing for extended periods and lifting items, as well as operating equipment like knives, scales, compactors, and pallet jacks. Strong communication skills, the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and an outgoing and positive attitude are essential. Sprouts values individuals who can foster a supportive team atmosphere while delivering the highest quality product and customer experience.
Beyond the rewarding career experience, Sprouts offers competitive pay and benefits such as a sick time plan, vacation accrual, employee discount, career growth opportunities, an Employee Assistance Program, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, company-paid life insurance, and more. Eligible employees may also participate in bonus programs and access daily pay through DailyPay, enabling them to transfer earned wages before payday at no extra cost.
Joining Sprouts Farmers Market as a Dairy Manager means becoming part of a company that prioritizes health, freshness, and exceptional customer service while fostering an inclusive and empowering workplace culture. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with retail grocery experience who are passionate about healthy living and eager to lead a team dedicated to excellence.
