The Customer Experience (CX) Specialist role at EMC is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service in a technical, fast-paced industrial environment. This position is based on-site in Salt Lake City and is designed for candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in the industrial and/or electrical industry. This role is not a traditional call center job but is focused on direct customer engagement and support. The CX Specialist serves as the primary liaison between customers and the company’s sales representatives and field service technicians, ensuring all customer needs are met with precision and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical products such as electric motors, variable frequency drives, generators, motor controls, pumps, and other rotating equipment. They will leverage their product knowledge to prepare accurate quotations, process orders, coordinate complex projects, and identify opportunities for account growth through consultative selling. The CX Specialist is also responsible for maintaining accurate customer data within CRM and ERP systems, helping sustain the seamless delivery of products and services. The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the industrial and/or electrical industry
  • minimum of two years of customer service, inside sales, technical support, customer success, or technical sales experience
  • working knowledge of industrial electrical products
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • experience using CRM and/or ERP software
  • ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the industrial and/or electrical industry
  • minimum of two years of customer service, inside sales, technical support, customer success, or technical sales experience
  • working knowledge of industrial electrical products such as electric motors, variable frequency drives, generators, motor controls, pumps, rotating equipment, or similar industrial products
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • experience using CRM and/or ERP software
  • ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness
  • experience with Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Epicor, SharpSpring, or similar CRM/ERP platforms preferred
  • experience supporting industrial service operations or electrical distribution preferred
  • knowledge of manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or rotating equipment repair preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and online inquiries
  • prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders
  • support outside sales representatives and field service technicians with customer requests and project coordination
  • build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive, professional service
  • identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts through consultative selling and proactive outreach
  • coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services
  • maintain accurate customer information within CRM and ERP systems
  • develop and maintain working knowledge of EMC’s products, services, and capabilities to confidently recommend solutions
  • resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining EMC’s commitment to exceptional service
