Job Description
FedEx Logistics is a premier global transportation and logistics service provider specializing in freight forwarding as well as import and export services. They assist businesses of all sizes in managing the complexities of international shipping, helping clients navigate the challenges of moving goods across borders efficiently and compliantly. Offering a full range of services such as international ocean and air freight forwarding, surface transportation, distribution, customs brokerage, trade and customs advisory services, as well as innovative e-commerce and trade facilitation solutions, FedEx Logistics ensures seamless supply chain management for their customers worldwide. The company is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, and as an equal opportunity employer, it welcomes applicants from varied backgrounds, including veterans and individuals with disabilities. They uphold high standards of transparency and fairness in their hiring practices and are dedicated to supporting the career growth of their employees in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
This role serves as a vital link between FedEx Express and FedEx Trade Networks (FTN), focusing on delivering exceptional entry services to FedEx Express and its customers. The position is responsible for facilitating all requisite entry processing and cage functions to ensure prompt and accurate shipment releases, adhering strictly to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Other Government Agencies (OGA) regulations and deadlines. A core part of the job involves auditing duties — which include handling complex entries, high-duty imports, and addressing ABI (Automated Broker Interface) errors and warnings — to maintain compliance and accurate documentation. The role requires meticulous attention to detail when recording and tracking audit issues, working closely with internal departments such as FDA, tech services, and quality assurance to initiate corrective actions when necessary. This position also involves correspondence with various stakeholders such as shippers, clients, and government agencies to resolve documentation issues that could impose substantial financial risks. Additionally, the candidate will conduct thorough research and prepare claims and protests to CBP on behalf of FedEx and its customers, aiding in the resolution of duties, taxes, and valuation disputes. Proficiency in utilizing multiple FedEx and FTN systems for data retrieval and report generation is essential, including producing operational and trend reports for management review.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling a high volume of time-sensitive work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and productivity. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are vital. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work independently and manage multiple software applications and reference materials effectively, are critical for success. The position is hybrid and requires availability for a shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM CST. This opportunity offers a meaningful chance to contribute to the success of a reputable logistics company that values both operational excellence and customer service excellence, providing a stable and engaging career path in the logistics industry.
