Job Description
FedEx Logistics is a leading global provider of comprehensive freight forwarding, import and export services tailored to facilitate businesses in reaching international markets efficiently. As part of the FedEx family, FedEx Logistics specializes in delivering integrated solutions such as international ocean and air freight forwarding, surface transportation and distribution, customs brokerage, trade and customs advisory services, and advanced e-commerce and trade facilitation. Through its extensive network and dedication to customer service, FedEx Logistics helps businesses of all sizes navigate the complexities of global shipping with ease and reliability. The company consistently emphasizes innovation, compliance, and impeccable customer service to maintain its position as a trusted partner in global logistics.
The role available is for a Customs Entry Coordinator responsible for coordinating all documentation required by U.S. Customs and other government agencies to ensure the seamless entry of goods into the U.S. on behalf of importers. This position emphasizes accuracy and compliance with all international importing and exporting regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining the correct classification of goods, processing import-related documentation, maintaining shipment records that comply with record-keeping mandates, and handling agency brokerage shipments. Working closely with internal teams, FedEx operations, customers, carriers, brokers, and government agencies, the coordinator will ensure the high-quality, timely delivery of services.
This is a hybrid role requiring candidates to initially train and work onsite for three to six months, after which remote work options become available. The position features a Monday through Friday work schedule with some mandatory overtime during peak volume periods and potential work on company-recognized holidays. The job offers paid training and starting compensation that varies by location and experience, with potential eligibility for additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. FedEx Logistics is committed to offering eligible employees benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Atlanta, Georgia, to be considered for this position.
The Customs Entry Coordinator role demands excellent data entry skills, proficiency in MS Office and multiple computer applications, strong communication abilities, organizational aptitude, and the capacity to handle high-volume, time-sensitive work independently. The candidate will have to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organization and external partners. This is an entry-level opportunity requiring a high school diploma or GED, with no prior industry experience necessary, though work experience in data entry or related fields is preferred. FedEx Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion, including veterans and individuals with disabilities, and complies fully with employment regulations such as the FAIR Chance Initiative and local pay transparency ordinances.
