FedEx Logistics is a globally recognized leader in the freight forwarding and logistics industry, providing comprehensive solutions that simplify international shipping for businesses of all sizes. As part of the FedEx family, the company draws on decades of expertise to offer a broad range of services including ocean and air freight forwarding, surface transportation, custom brokerage, trade and customs advisory services, as well as advanced e-commerce and trade facilitation solutions. FedEx Logistics leverages cutting-edge technology and a worldwide network to ensure that cargo moves swiftly and efficiently across borders, meeting regulatory requirements and customer expectations seamlessly.
The company prides itself on its commitment to excellent customer service and operational excellence, making it an ideal employer for those seeking to grow within the logistics sector. FedEx Logistics is dedicated to creating an inclusive workforce, supporting equality, and providing equal opportunities for all candidates, including veterans and individuals with disabilities. This dedication is evident through their adherence to initiatives such as the FAIR Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance and compliance with pay transparency laws.
This role focuses on the vital function of customs brokerage within FedEx Logistics, where the candidate will be responsible for coordinating the documentation required by U.S. Customs and various government agencies to facilitate the entry of goods into the United States. The position is crucial in ensuring that all shipments comply with the appropriate regulations and standards necessary for customs clearance, providing a key link between importers, government bodies, and internal teams.
As a Customs Brokerage Coordinator, you will be tasked with acquiring precise classification of goods using various sources such as databases, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), tariff books, internet resources, and direct communication with customs officials. This role requires meticulous attention to detail when entering and processing import-related documentation and handling interactions with participating government agencies (PGAs). Maintaining accurate shipment records in compliance with all legal and organizational requirements will be an ongoing responsibility.
The position involves multi-tasking across several platforms and systems to manage data entry and documentation submission effectively. Candidates must be able to handle high volumes of time-sensitive work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of customer interaction and internal communication. This hybrid role operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST), providing a structured yet flexible work environment.
The Customs Brokerage Coordinator role at FedEx Logistics offers paid training and a supportive environment to develop your skill set within the logistics and transportation industry. This role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving abilities, and strong organizational competencies. Working collaboratively with various departments within FedEx and external partners ensures the smooth flow of shipments and customer satisfaction.
