Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months brokerage or transportation experience and/or customer service experience
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment including phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented with knowledge of HTS classification and harmonized tariff system
- Understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and applicable federal requirements
- Willingness to participate in paid training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience preferred
- Proficient with MS Office and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of HTS classification and harmonized tariff system
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and federal requirements in relevant area
Job Duties
- Provide consistent customer service and resolution to ensure timely release or movement of freight
- cPrepare, analyze, and submit documentation to relevant parties ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems delaying freight release or movement
- Maintain relationships with brokers, T&B, and service providers to exceed customer service requirements
- Resolve banking and letter of credit problems
- Advise customers on payment terms and obtain payment on delinquent accounts
- Resolve billing issues and coordinate post entry activity on customer's behalf
- Complete accurate data input or corrections into computer files
- Perform root cause analysis as directed by Account Administrator
- Manage the entry verification process
- Access client systems as necessary
- Correspond with business partners via written, phone, or email communication
- Produce operational trend reports and keep partners apprised of exception process
- Receive and respond to pre alerts per customer SOP
- Maintain knowledge of FedEx products and services
- Interact with customers, internal staff, and management
- Develop strong relationships with customer front-line personnel
- Facilitate entry processing and exception resolution
