The role of Communications Specialist (Front Desk) at Linden Ponds is a vital position that serves as the initial point of contact for residents, their family members, and prospective candidates. This position is responsible for setting a positive tone for all interactions and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere within the community. As the face of Linden Ponds, the Communications Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating communication and support, managing emergency calls, and assisting with various administrative duties that support smooth day-to-day operations.

This is a part-time position with a scheduled shift on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm. Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $19 to $23 per hour. The Communications Specialist will greet and direct residents, visitors, and staff while efficiently handling questions and concerns. This role also requires managing resident mail and packages, ensuring timely notification and proper distribution, along with sorting inter-office mail.

Job Duties

  • Greet and direct residents, visitors, and staff
  • handle questions and concerns efficiently
  • receive emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel
  • page on-call physicians as needed
  • monitor all emergency pull cords for Independent Living residents
  • track status of residents involved in situations such as hospital transportation
  • manage resident list alphabetically and by apartment
  • assist with maintaining accurate census information including hospitalizations and deaths
  • log all resident packages and notify residents of pick-up
  • sort and distribute inter-office mail
