This Customer Service Specialist position at Sherwin-Williams is a full-time retail role located at Store #707463 in Denver, Colorado. This role is essential to the success of the retail store by providing outstanding service to both wholesale and retail customers. The primary responsibility is to work closely with customers to determine their needs, answer questions related to Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend appropriate paint and coating solutions. Customer Service Specialists also focus on promptly resolving any customer concerns to ensure maximum client satisfaction and maintaining the store’s high visual and quality standards. This role requires staying up-to-date with product features and inventory management.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and motivated to meet and exceed sales goals on monthly, quarterly, and yearly bases. The position involves various duties such as processing sales transactions, building trusting relationships with customers, pulling products from the sales floor or warehouse, tinting and mixing products to customer specifications, stocking shelves, managing displays, and assisting with deliveries. Candidates must be prepared to handle cash and electronic transactions securely and comply with inventory control procedures. This position also requires physical effort, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 70 pounds with or without accommodation.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • if internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
  • if internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position

Job Qualifications

  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • have at least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish

Job Duties
