This position is for a Customer Service Representative at UniFirst, a vital role that acts as the primary liaison between the company and its customers. The Customer Service Representative is entrusted with delivering exceptional service by handling inquiries related to accounts, procedures, and services through telephone and email communications. This role requires a personable and professional demeanor to ensure outstanding customer service both externally for customers and internally for UniFirst personnel.
The Customer Service Representative will also perform essential administrative duties, including managing accounts receivable tasks such as following up on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving account conflicts through UniFirst's escalation process. Additionally, this person will provide crucial support to the Sales Department and handle basic data entry tasks to maintain accurate records.

Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of customer service experience in an administrative setting is preferred
- Prior accounts receivable experience is highly encouraged
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally carry parcels or packages, walk short distances, and sit for extended periods
- Able to perform basic mathematical operations
- Must be responsive, personable, and an active listener
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Two years of customer service experience in an administrative setting is preferred
- Prior accounts receivable experience is highly encouraged
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is recommended
- Verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone and email etiquette
- Essential skills including active listening, responsiveness, and being personable
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and TEAMS
- Time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- A collaborative, team-player capable of working independently
- Problem solver in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable performing basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
Job Duties
- Assist customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services by telephone or email
- Provide excellent customer service to both customers and UniFirst personnel
- Perform accounts receivable duties, calling on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving account conflicts through UniFirst’s escalation process
- Partner and provide administrative support to UniFirst’s Sales Department
- Perform basic data entry and other administrative duties
