UniFirst is currently seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join their team. This role is essential in providing outstanding customer service and acting as the liaison between customers and the company. The position is full-time with a 5-day work week that provides weekends off, creating a balanced work-life atmosphere. The Customer Service Representative will handle key administrative functions such as answering customer inquiries via telephone or email related to accounts, procedures, and services. They will perform accounts receivable duties including contacting customers about outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and managing account conflicts through UniFirst’s escalation process. Additionally, the role supports the sales department administratively, manages data entry tasks, and delivers exceptional service to both customers and internal personnel. This is a vital position that requires strong communication skills, time management, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant customer service experience
  • Prior accounts receivable experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry parcels or packages
  • Capacity to walk short distances and sit for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of customer service experience in an administrative setting is preferred
  • Prior accounts receivable experience is highly encouraged
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is recommended
  • Verbal and written communication skills: professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Essential skills: active listener, responsive, and personable
  • Computer skills: proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, TEAMS)
  • Time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • A collaborative team-player capable of working independently
  • Problem solver in a dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Assist customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services by telephone or email
  • Provide excellent customer service to both customers and UniFirst personnel
  • Perform accounts receivable duties: calling on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving account conflicts through UniFirst's escalation process
  • Partner and provide administrative support to UniFirst's Sales Department
  • Perform basic data entry and other administrative duties
