UniFirst is currently seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join their dynamic team. This role is vital in maintaining excellent communication and relationships between the company and its customers. The position operates with a 5-day workweek, providing weekends off, which emphasizes work-life balance. Candidates will receive thorough on-the-job training and access to advanced learning resources, such as the company's online Service Certificate Program and The Learning Center, making it an excellent gateway for professional growth. The work involves responding to customer inquiries via phone and email, managing accounts receivable tasks including resolving account conflicts and processing credits, supporting administrative functions for the sales department, and handling data entry. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the team environment.

The compensation for this role ranges approximately $20.67 to $27.51 per hour, varying based on the individual's experience, skills, and geographic location. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience preferred
  • Prior accounts receivable experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to walk short distances
  • Professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Basic mathematical skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of customer service experience in an administrative setting preferred
  • Prior accounts receivable experience highly encouraged
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent recommended
  • Verbal and written communication skills: professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Active listener, responsive, and personable
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and TEAMS
  • Time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Collaborative team-player capable of working independently
  • Problem solver in a dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Assist customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services by telephone or email
  • Provide excellent customer service to both customers and UniFirst personnel
  • Perform accounts receivable duties: calling on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, resolving account conflicts through escalation
  • Partner and provide administrative support to UniFirst’s Sales Department
  • Perform basic data entry and other administrative duties
