UniFirst is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal as a liaison between customers and the company, ensuring that inquiries and concerns are addressed with professionalism and efficiency. The position operates on a 5-day work week with weekends off, providing work-life balance. The company offers on-the-job training to equip new hires with the necessary skills to excel in the role.

The Customer Service Representative will assist customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services primarily via telephone and email. They are responsible for providing excellent service to both customers and UniFirst personnel, enhancing the overall customer experience. Duties include handling accounts receivable by managing outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving conflicts through UniFirst's escalation system. This role also involves partnering closely with the Sales Department to provide crucial administrative support, as well as performing basic data entry and other administrative functions.

The hourly pay for this position ranges from $17.98 to $23.92, variable based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • minimum two years of customer service experience preferred
  • prior experience in accounts receivable preferred
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • ability to perform basic math calculations
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • ability to carry parcels or packages occasionally
  • ability to walk short distances
  • ability to sit for extended periods
  • strong organizational and time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of customer service experience in an administrative setting preferred
  • prior accounts receivable experience highly encouraged
  • high school diploma or GED equivalent recommended

Job Duties

  • Assist customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services by telephone or email
  • provide excellent customer service to both customers and UniFirst personnel
  • perform accounts receivable duties including calling on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving account conflicts through escalation process
  • partner with and provide administrative support to UniFirst’s Sales Department
  • perform basic data entry and other administrative duties
