The company has a rich 80-year history and continues to focus on sustained growth and innovation. UniFirst offers an inclusive workplace environment that values diversity in all forms and fosters a collaborative and supportive community culture. We are currently seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a full-time position with a convenient 5-day workweek, ensuring weekends off. As a Customer Service Representative at UniFirst, you will play a vital role acting as the key liaison between the company and its customers. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers by answering inquiries related to accounts, services, and procedures via telephone and email, ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing accounts receivable duties such as following up on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving conflicts through a structured escalation process. You will also collaborate closely with the Sales Department, providing essential administrative support to help streamline operations.
This role requires strong communication skills to maintain professional telephone and email etiquette, along with proficient computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products and internal platforms such as TEAMS. The ideal candidate will be an active listener who is responsive and personable, with excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. UniFirst provides on-the-job training supported by extensive online modules through its Service Certificate Program and The Learning Center platform. We value employees who are comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations and are physically able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
At UniFirst, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and life insurance, 401(k) Plan with company match and profit sharing, paid time off, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, direct payroll deposit, and special employee discounts and referral bonuses. Joining UniFirst means being part of a diverse, supportive, and respected community where your contributions are recognized and you have abundant opportunities for personal and professional growth.
