As a Customer Service Representative at UniFirst, you will be a vital link between the company and its customers, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction. This full-time position offers a traditional 5-day workweek with Saturdays and Sundays off, promoting work-life balance for its employees. The role involves direct interaction with customers, supporting them through inquiries related to accounts, procedures, and services primarily via telephone or email. You will be entrusted with important accounts receivable responsibilities, such as following up on outstanding accounts, handling credits and exchanges, and resolving account-related conflicts efficiently. Additionally, this role partners closely with UniFirst's Sales Department, providing vital administrative support to help drive business success. The Customer Service Representative will also undertake data entry and other administrative duties requiring attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of customer service experience in an administrative setting is preferred
  • Prior accounts receivable experience is highly encouraged
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, carry parcels occasionally, walk short distances, and sit for extended periods
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of customer service experience in an administrative setting is preferred
  • Prior accounts receivable experience is highly encouraged
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is recommended
  • Verbal and written communication skills including professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Essential skills such as active listening, responsiveness, and being personable
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and TEAMS
  • Time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Collaborative team-player capable of working independently
  • Problem solver in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable performing basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally carry parcels or packages, walk short distances, and sit for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Assist customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services by telephone or email
  • Provide excellent customer service to both customers and UniFirst personnel
  • Perform accounts receivable duties including calling on outstanding accounts, processing credits and exchanges, and resolving account conflicts through UniFirst's escalation process
  • Partner and provide administrative support to UniFirst's Sales Department
  • Perform basic data entry and other administrative duties
