The Representative actively participates in sales programs, opening and closing new accounts such as checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and IRAs. By collaborating with other business lines within the bank, the Representative identifies sales opportunities that enhance the customer experience and contribute to branch success. Additionally, the role involves operational duties such as cash drawer balancing, vault management, branch audits, and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years cash handling and customer service experience
- Some experience in opening new deposit accounts preferred
- Demonstrated success in cross-selling banking services and products
- Strong customer relations skills and cooperative, positive communication
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- PC experience required
- Self-starter and dependable
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Good judgment and confidentiality
- Willingness to assume additional responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years cash handling and customer service experience
- Some experience in opening new deposit accounts preferred

- PC experience with Word, Excel, and teller/bank software preferred
- Self-starter, dependable, able to work under pressure
- Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information

Job Duties
- Effectively interview and profile new and existing customers to recommend appropriate banking products and services
- Partner with other business lines to identify sales opportunities and provide outstanding customer experience
- Open and close customer accounts including checking, savings, money markets, certificates of deposit, and IRAs
- Actively cross-sell bank products and services to meet referral and personal goals
- Perform daily teller services such as processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, stop payments, and wire transfers
- Balance cash drawer independently and maintain cash records within compliance policy
- Participate in branch audit functions and comply with Mechanics Bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service with a positive and professional attitude
- Participate in community events and support branch lobby management
