The role of an Inbound Customer Service Representative (Emergency Roadside) at VXI Global Solutions is a vital position focused on providing timely and compassionate assistance to customers experiencing roadside emergencies with rental vehicles. This is a remote position that offers great flexibility and convenience, allowing employees to work from the comfort of their own homes. As an Emergency Roadside Assistance Agent, you will be the critical first point of contact for customers who find themselves stranded due to vehicular issues. Your primary responsibility will be to manage inbound calls efficiently, assess emergency situations fairly, and coordinate appropriate roadside aid such as towing, dispatching service providers, or other forms of assistance. Exceptional problem-solving skills and empathetic communication are essential to ensure that each customer feels supported and safe during what can often be stressful situations.

Beyond managing immediate emergencies, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of each interaction and service coordination to ensure smooth follow-up and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced, phone-based or customer-facing environment
  • at least 1 year of customer service experience (call center or customer facing) in a single role
  • a dedicated, quiet workspace with a door that closes, free from ambient noise (e.g., children, pets, and others)
  • a comfortable desk and chair setup that allows for the proper installation of necessary equipment
  • stable, high-speed internet with a minimum bandwidth of 10 Mbps downstream and 5 Mbps upstream
  • a dedicated, quiet area where you can focus on delivering excellent customer service without interruptions
  • comfort with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • ability to stay productive and manage your time effectively in a remote environment
  • strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in a virtual setting
  • ability to adapt to changing technologies and procedures while working remotely

Job Qualifications

  • Proven ability to provide patient, empathetic, and effective customer service
  • strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers during stressful situations
  • availability to all shifts, including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays within Contact Center hours (Monday - Sunday) based on business needs
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • high school diploma or GED
  • must pass a background screening upon offer of employment
  • minimum typing speed of 30 WPM with 80 percent accuracy
  • candidates must pass a computer assessment with a score above 80 percent prior to interviewing
  • must attend and complete 100 percent of the training within the first 90 days

Job Duties

  • Handle inbound calls from customers who are stranded and need roadside assistance for rental vehicles
  • assess each situation to determine the best solution, such as arranging for towing, dispatching roadside assistance, or providing other necessary support
  • coordinate with service providers to ensure timely assistance to the customer
  • ensure that customers receive the required help and follow up to guarantee their safety and satisfaction
  • maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and services provided
