Besides sales, the employee will actively participate in sales promotions and customer engagement activities to foster strong customer relations and help meet sales objectives.

Responsibilities include preparing hot food items, brewing fresh coffee, managing condiment stations, and monitoring fresh food availability. Regular checks on product freshness through code date inspections and proper stock rotation are critical duties to ensure quality control.
Safety is paramount in this role, as the employee will be responsible for implementing safety measures to protect themselves, colleagues, and customers within the work location. Observing city, county, state, and federal laws related to store operations is mandatory. The employee will participate in safety and emergency procedures including robbery and violence prevention protocols to uphold a secure workplace.
The position requires flexibility in shifts and work locations, as the employee should have open availability to work all shifts as needed at their home store or other stores within the district. Physical demands include standing or walking for the entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and pushing or pulling objects using hand trucks. The work environment is a dynamic retail setting requiring teamwork, communication, and attention to detail to meet store operational standards effectively.

Job Duties
- Take measures to preserve the safety of employees and all others in the work location
- operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately manage money and other types of payment received for product sold
- enter all transactions into the register, accept payments and account for all funds
- conduct sales transactions accurately and quickly
- perform the following service transactions in accordance with company policy: credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, and fast-food sales
- check identification for alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products according to company policy
- actively participate in all sales promotions and other campaigns
- practice suggestive selling and build customer relations
- review and adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations
- always maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag
- preparation of hot food items in accordance with current procedures
- ensure that the store is free of litter and spills and that all equipment is sanitized and functioning
- sweep floors and spot mop as needed
- wipe down Fuel Delivery area, pumps and manage outside water/trash
- restock and maintain restroom cleanliness
- clean counters, equipment, trash and any other duties assigned
- front face cooler and Hydrazone maintenance as well as dust merchandise
- clean station windows and organize backroom supplies
- receive product deliveries using proper lift techniques
- stock shelves including cooler and Hydrazone areas
- maintain cleanliness of food warmers, microwaves and trays
- conduct daily inspections of perishable products for freshness and proper rotation
- follow company policies on robbery/violence prevention and safety
- participate in store sales building, customer service and team activities
- act as backup cashier during Barista shifts
- brew fresh coffee every 2 hours and maintain condiment bar
- perform cleaning duties during night shifts including restroom deep clean and equipment maintenance
- prepare for morning rush by ensuring fresh coffee and stocked creamer machine.
