Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong computer skills including POS handling
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Effective interpersonal communication
  • Quick learner with ability to work independently
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Food Handlers Permit as applicable
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Flexible availability for all shifts at multiple locations
  • Ability to stand or walk throughout shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground to waist level
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and crouch during work
  • Ability to push and pull with up to 20 pounds force
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to manipulate objects throughout workday.

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Excellent computer skills, competency in PDI Enterprise POS
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little or no supervision
  • Basic math skills
  • Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district when required.

Job Duties

  • Take measures to preserve the safety of employees and all others in the work location
  • Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately manage money and other types of payment received for product sold
  • Enter all transactions into the register, accept payments and account for all funds
  • Conduct sales transactions accurately and quickly
  • Perform service transactions in accordance with company policy including credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, and fast-food sales
  • Check identification for restricted products according to company policy
  • Actively participate in sales promotions and campaigns
  • Practice suggestive selling and build customer relations
  • Review and adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations
  • Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag
  • Prepare hot food items as designated
  • Ensure the store is clean, free of litter and spills, and all equipment is sanitized
  • Sweep floors and spot mop as needed
  • Wipe down fuel delivery area and change outside water/trash
  • Spot check and restock restrooms
  • Clean surfaces, equipment, trash
  • Front face cooler and Hydrazone as well as dust merchandise
  • Organize backroom supplies
  • Receive and stock merchandise
  • Conduct daily inspections of perishable products
  • Follow company policy on robbery/violence prevention and safety
  • Participate in store sales, customer service, and team-building activities
  • Conduct sales and coffee brewing during Barista shifts
  • Perform deep cleaning during night shifts
  • Prepare for morning rush with fresh coffee and restocked machines.
