The role directly supports the store manager and plays a critical part in ensuring that the store runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. The candidate will also be responsible for the integrity of cash and card transactions, ensuring all sales processes are handled with utmost honesty and accuracy.

The candidate must be prepared to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations to protect both customers and employees. In terms of physical requirements, the job includes periodic lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varying temperature conditions, including within the store, outdoors, and refrigerated areas. Shift flexibility is important, as the role involves working weekends, evenings, holidays, and busy retail periods. Job Requirements

  • Retail experience
  • Customer service experience required
  • Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
  • Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds
  • Able to stand for an entire shift
  • Ability to periodically handle routine physical tasks such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling
  • Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time including in the store, outside, and in the cooler
  • Available to work various shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic math skills for transaction processing

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service leadership to all customers
  • Acknowledge/greet all customers that come into the store
  • Ensure that all company policies are being followed
  • Promote and maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out
  • Efficiently process both cash and card transactions with integrity
  • Ensure all merchandising and marketing programs are implemented properly including maintaining plan-o-gram integrity and appropriate sign placement
  • Ensure foodservice products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out-of-date products
  • Monitor store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner
  • Respond quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notifying the appropriate individuals
