Job Description
Pet Emergency & Referral Center (PERC), located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is an expanding 24-hour Emergency and Specialty Veterinary Hospital that is dedicated to providing exceptional emergency and specialty care for pets and unwavering support to their families in the surrounding communities. As a vital part of Ethos Veterinary Health, a leading community that brings together a dynamic network of approximately 145 hospitals including Compassion-First Pet Hospitals and SAGE Veterinary Centers, PERC benefits from unmatched expertise, cutting-edge technology, and a steadfast commitment to advancing the animal health profession for better patient outcomes. This integrated network ensures that PERC remains at the forefront of veterinary medicine, offering comprehensive and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
As a Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) at PERC, you will play an essential role at the frontline of client and patient interaction. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $19.00 to $21.00 based on experience and involves working four 9-hour shifts per week with varying schedules that include early mornings, mid-mornings, or late shifts, as well as rotating weekends and holidays. You will support pet owners, veterinary specialists, and emergency care teams by delivering superior customer service and facilitating smooth communication among all parties involved. Being a part of the CSR team means you must thrive in a highly collaborative setting, excel at multitasking, and maintain composure during high-pressure and emotional situations.
Your duties will include managing a busy multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments across multiple specialty and emergency departments, accurately checking clients and patients in and out, coordinating medical records and communication with referring veterinary hospitals, and acting as a liaison between clients and the medical teams. This role requires empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication skills to support pet owners during critical moments, ensuring they feel cared for and guided throughout their experience at the hospital.
PERC fosters a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development, making it an excellent environment for individuals who are committed to growing their career in veterinary medicine. The hospital offers various benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and AD&D insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, paid time off including sick time and parental leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs on veterinary services, employee Costco membership, and recognition bonuses. These comprehensive benefits reflect the organization’s dedication to the welfare and growth of its employees.
Joining PERC means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of pets and their families. If you have a background in veterinary client service, customer service, hospitality, or medical reception, and possess strong interpersonal skills with a capacity for handling emotionally charged situations with grace, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute meaningfully while advancing your professional journey.
