Currently, Mechanics Bank is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join its team. This is an on-site, full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality banking services. Reporting under general supervision and adhering strictly to established policies, procedures, and compliance regulations, the Customer Service Representative handles a spectrum of banking transactions that range from basic to moderately complex. This position requires individuals who are not only detail-oriented but also proactive in identifying customer needs and making appropriate referrals for additional products and services. The Customer Service Representative will also assist with administrative duties and may support other branches when necessary.

Job Duties
- performs routine teller transactions and works directly with clients
- accepts, verifies, and processes customer transactions according to procedures
- works quickly to service customers while maintaining accuracy and compliance
- assists customers with account reconcilement, statement copies, check orders, account closures, and debit card maintenance
- provides exemplary customer service in person and over the phone
- identifies customer needs and recommends banking products and services
- educates customers on mobile and online banking technology
- maintains and balances cash supply
- adheres to cash handling and security policies
- reviews transactions for fraudulent activity
- assists with branch opening and closing security procedures
- gathers data and processes compliance reports
- assists with branch audits and completes required compliance tasks
- travels 0-10 percent as needed
