The role available is a combined position of Customer Service Representative and Day Porter, designed to ensure cleanliness, sanitization, and overall maintenance of assigned areas within the facilities managed by SBM. This full-time position pays $20.82 per hour and includes a robust benefits package, promoting employee well-being and growth. The Customer Service Rep / Day Porter will be an integral team member responsible for performing janitorial tasks, operating motorized cleaning equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the work environment adheres to safety protocols and company policies. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently with supervisors, co-workers, and customers.

The candidate will perform tasks such as reporting incidents, supporting shift leads, filling in during staff shortages, and maintaining a professional appearance and courteous conduct. Job Requirements

  • valid driver’s license may be required
  • completed all safety and task training certification
  • forklift certification may be required

  • ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
  • knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
  • knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Job Duties

  • Perform janitorial duties
  • perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
  • operate motorized cleaning equipment
  • maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
  • report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
  • comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • perform work assignments in a team with other employees
