Job Description

FedEx Office is a leading provider of shipping, printing, and business services tailored to meet the diverse needs of customers across various industries. Known for its reliable and comprehensive parcel management solutions, FedEx Office operates within venues and centers to facilitate seamless inbound and outbound package handling. The company places a strong emphasis on quality-driven management, aiming to deliver exceptional customer experiences while optimizing operational efficiency and profitability. FedEx Office supports a culture of continuous improvement and quality science application, ensuring that both employees and customers benefit from the highest standards in service and operational practices.

This particular role at FedEx Office involves serving as a critical team member responsible for managing all aspects of the in-center parcel management operation, specifically coordinating the inbound and outbound package activities. The team member will handle the reception, processing, staging, and delivery of packages within the venue or center using an electronic last-mile tracking system designed to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Working with limited supervision, the role requires regular collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including internal venue personnel and event customers, to guarantee smooth parcel logistics throughout the center.

The responsibilities extend beyond package handling to include various operational functions such as maintaining detailed logs for all shipments, preparing parcels for dispatch, sorting incoming packages, and utilizing proprietary software and tools. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves the operation of mobile equipment, lifting packages up to 75 pounds unassisted, and maneuvering heavier items with assistance. Additionally, the team member may be required to perform customer service duties, such as advising on shipping options, assisting with packaging services, handling payment transactions via point of sale systems, and troubleshooting issues with equipment or shipment discrepancies.

In addition to operational tasks, this position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills by guiding other team members during assigned shifts and assisting in training new employees. Administrative duties, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and supporting goal-setting initiatives, are also part of the role. Overall, this position requires a dynamic, action-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

This is a full-time position with a competitive starting salary range of $17.00 to $19.98 per hour, reflecting the candidate's experience and market factors. FedEx Office provides employees with a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement, fostering both career growth and personal well-being. The company is committed to equal opportunity employment and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring process.

Embracing a quality-oriented culture, the successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and waste while enhancing service delivery. FedEx Office encourages team members to apply quality concepts learned through training in their daily tasks to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence. This role is suited for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and physically capable of meeting demanding operational requirements while delivering outstanding customer service consistently.
