The role of Customer Service Representative / Lot Attendant at U-Haul is a dynamic position perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy working with people and providing exceptional service. U-Haul offers a competitive pay range of $16.90 to $19.00 per hour for this position, along with immediate earning opportunities through paid hands-on working interviews and a $100 hiring bonus. Additionally, employees can earn a $300 cash bonus by completing U-Haul’s Equipment Inspection and Verification certification program. This position also includes on-the-job training, ensuring that new hires are well-prepared to perform their duties with confidence and care.

Key responsibilities include assisting customers both inside and outside the rental center, utilizing smartphone technology for rental and inventory management, moving and hooking up trucks and trailers, and conducting thorough equipment inspections including checking fluid levels. Employees also prepare rental invoices, accept returned equipment, install hitches and trailer wiring, and operate forklifts and propane refilling equipment once certified. Safety is a priority, with required use of protective gear and adherence to safety protocols in a work environment involving machinery and potential hazards.
