The Customer Service Coordinator role within the Donated Goods Retail department at Goodwill Keystone Area plays a pivotal function in supporting store operations and enhancing the customer experience. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this non-exempt position is designed to assist in managing front-end operations, retail sales growth, and staff development to ensure the store meets or exceeds sales goals. Responsibilities include coaching and developing sales associates, ensuring compliance with merchandising standards, and assisting with store opening and closing procedures including cash handling. This position is not supervisory in title but involves oversight and development activities to assist the store team. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum three years related experience
- ability to work in an open warehouse environment exposed to various weather and temperatures
- must exhibit high integrity and business ethics
- ability to meet performance standards established by the company
- ability to continuously perform repetitive work at a set pace
- effective communication skills including ability to hear, speak and write
- basic math skills
- flexible to work weekends and evenings
- successful completion of state background check, child abuse clearance and FBI clearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- three years related experience
- supervisory experience preferred but not necessary
- previous retail experience preferred
- POS and basic computer experience preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in varying weather conditions
- high level of integrity and business ethics
- ability to meet qualitative and quantitative performance standards
- ability to perform repetitive tasks at a set pace
- basic math skills
- flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
Job Duties
- Maximize sales performance through proper rotation, displays, signage and inventory of processed merchandise
- meet or exceed sales goals on a consistent basis
- represent Goodwill Keystone Area positively by providing excellent customer service at all times
- train and develop sales associates ensuring merchandising guidelines are followed
- assist in completing accurate and timely paperwork including opening/closing procedures and cash handling
- support staff by enforcing and communicating organizational policies, manuals, handbooks and procedures
- perform store opening and closing as assigned by the manager
- participate in interviewing candidates for entry-level retail roles and assist in associate evaluations
- back up Customer Service Manager as needed
- ensure compliance with all asset protection policies and report concerns to management
- support organizational programs and special events
- perform other assignments designated by management
- promote workplace safety and adherence to safety requirements
- communicate progress, problems, and concerns to the Store Manager
