Job Description
My Fresh Basket is a unique grocery store located in Kendall Yards, Spokane. Unlike typical supermarkets, it specializes in offering an exceptional selection of fresh and locally sourced products. The store prides itself on providing fresh meats and produce from local farmers and ranchers, special breads from local artisan bakeries, and locally roasted coffee made from fair trade, shade grown, organic beans. This focus on quality and local sourcing gives My Fresh Basket a distinct charm that appeals to customers looking for fresh, wholesome, and ethically sourced food and drink options. The store aims to create a welcoming shopping environment where customers can enjoy a variety of high-quality products in a market that supports the local community.
My Fresh Basket is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic barista to join their espresso bar team. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a memorable coffee experience. The barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages including coffee, non-coffee, and blended drinks. While espresso and coffee experience are preferred, the company is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
The barista role is critical in promoting My Fresh Basket’s offerings by engaging with customers, sharing product knowledge, and ensuring a clean and well-stocked work environment. Cashiering duties are also part of the position, requiring accuracy and friendly interaction with customers. The job offers competitive pay starting at $17.13 per hour and includes several valuable benefits such as a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, employee discounts, a flexible schedule, paid sick time, and paid training. This position is in-person, allowing the barista to build personal connections with customers and create an inviting atmosphere at the espresso bar.
To be successful in this role, candidates must be at least 18 years old, as the Coffee Bar also serves wine and beer. Possession of a Washington State Food Worker Card or the ability to acquire one is required. Previous experience with espresso, particularly one year, is preferred but not mandatory. The company values a positive attitude and high energy, seeking a team member who can passionately share My Fresh Basket’s high-quality product offerings and consistently deliver outstanding customer service. Joining My Fresh Basket means becoming part of a community-focused business dedicated to supporting local producers while providing exceptional food and beverage experiences to its customers.
