Job Description

Sherwin-Williams is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of paints, coatings, and related products. With a strong commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, Sherwin-Williams has established itself as a trusted name in the industry, known for its quality products and excellent service. The company operates a large network of branches and stores across various locations, including automotive branches like the one in Mobile, Alabama. Dedicated to inspiring and improving the world by coloring and protecting what matters, Sherwin-Williams invests significantly in its people, offering opportunities for professional growth, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive working environment.

The role of Customer Service Associate at Sherwin-Williams focuses on ensuring that products are delivered accurately and on time from the branches to the customers using company vehicles such as vans or pick-up trucks. This part-time position is based at the Automotive Branch #9248 located at 920 Lakeside Drive, Mobile, AL, and aligns with the branch's hours of operation, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with specific hours determined by business needs. The Customer Service Associate is responsible not only for making sure deliveries are complete, safely packed, and made to the correct customers but also for preparing orders, loading and unloading products, and operating equipment like paint mixing machines and color retrieval systems.

Additionally, the role requires direct interaction with customers, providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service both in person and over the phone. The position involves handling cash and other payment methods, managing inventory, maintaining organized stockrooms, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Sherwin-Williams values integrity and safety, which is why they conduct a thorough review of applicants' criminal history to safeguard their customers, employees, and operations.

Candidates for this role are also expected to complete required safety training on a monthly and quarterly basis to uphold the company’s commitment to a safe working environment. Sherwin-Williams considers its employees as the cornerstone of its success and offers rewards, benefits, career development opportunities, and inclusion within an engaged team. The company encourages applicants to complete a three-step hiring process, including an online application, a digital behavioral interview, and an in-store interview with the recruitment team. The wage range for this part-time role will depend on experience, qualifications, skill sets, and other business considerations, but Sherwin-Williams is committed to fair compensation and equal employment opportunities for all qualified candidates.
