This part-time Customer Service Associate position is based at Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch #9214, located in Fort Myers, Florida. The role is an integral part of the branch's operations, focusing on delivering excellent customer service combined with accurate and safe delivery of products to customers using company vehicles such as vans or pick-up trucks. The Customer Service Associate is responsible for preparing orders, accurately packing and labeling items, loading and unloading products, and ensuring that all deliveries are completed safely and timely. In addition to delivery duties, the associate assists with monitoring inventory levels, operating paint mixing and color retrieval equipment when necessary, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment that complies with quality and safety standards.
Working hours align with the branch's schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with exact shifts determined based on operational needs. Given that the role involves handling cash, customer data, and merchandise, Sherwin-Williams requires a background check to maintain safety for employees, customers, and the broader community. Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
- must be willing to work all scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED
- have at least one year of work experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacuum-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts
- have at least one year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales
Job Duties
- Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner
- load and unload products from deliveries
- operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment including forklifts, hand trucks/pallet jacks, and carts
- assist customers in person and over the phone
- process sales transactions in the POS accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
- communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- ensure that the stockroom is organized
- operate color retrieval and paint mixing machine equipment as needed
- comply with inventory control procedures and assist with physical inventory process
- complete monthly and quarterly safety training
