This specific role is that of a Customer Service Associate based at the Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch #9235 located at 480 Fentress Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL. This is a part-time position, with working hours aligning with the branch’s operating hours, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The role involves a range of responsibilities focused on delivering excellent customer service, from preparing and completing customer orders to ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products using company vehicles such as vans or pickup trucks.

The Customer Service Associate plays a vital role in the Sherwin-Williams customer experience by ensuring that all orders are accurately packed, safely transported, and delivered to the correct customers. The associate is also responsible for receiving incoming products, preparing orders, and managing the safe loading and unloading of merchandise. In addition, operating warehouse and paint mixing equipment when required demands technical competency and attention to detail.

Beyond logistics, this position requires frequent interaction with customers, sometimes including minors, and handling various sensitive items such as cash, electronic equipment, and personal information. The associate must uphold company policies and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • must be willing to work all scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • have at least one year of work experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • have at least one year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales

Job Duties

  • Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner
  • load and unload products from deliveries
  • operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts
  • assist customers in person and over the phone
  • process sales transactions accurately and consistently with company policies and procedures
  • communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
