Job Description

Sherwin-Williams is a well-established leader in the paints and coatings industry, known for its innovative solutions that brighten and protect the spaces that matter most. As a global company, Sherwin-Williams is committed to inspiring and improving the world through its products and services while fostering a supportive work environment for its employees. The company values stability, growth, and momentum, translating these into opportunities for personal and professional development. With a strong emphasis on health, well-being, and community connection, Sherwin-Williams creates a workplace culture rooted in inclusivity and respect.

The Customer Service Associate role at Sherwin-Williams is a vital position based at the Automotive Branch #9145 located in Hartford, CT. This part-time role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient delivery and handling of products to customers. The associate will be responsible for delivering products using company vans or pickup trucks, guaranteeing that deliveries are complete, correctly packed, and safely transported to the correct customer. In addition to delivery duties, the position involves receiving and preparing orders, safely moving and loading materials, and operating warehouse equipment and color retrieval and paint mixing machines as needed.

The Customer Service Associate will also provide essential customer service, assisting customers in person and over the phone while processing sales transactions accurately through the point of sale system. Maintaining an organized stockroom, ensuring safety and cleanliness within the work environment, and complying with inventory control procedures are integral parts of the role. This position requires someone who can communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, uphold quality service standards, and participate in regular safety training.

Working hours will align with the branch's schedule from Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with specific shifts determined based on business needs. Given the nature of the job, which involves contact with customers including minors, handling cash and electronic payment methods, and access to personal information and merchandise, a criminal history review is part of the hiring process to ensure the safety and security of all involved.

Sherwin-Williams offers a competitive wage range dependent on various factors such as skillset, experience, training, and certifications. The company is proud to provide world-class benefits designed to support employees' financial security and overall well-being, including retirement plans, health care options, and support for work-life balance. This position is an excellent opportunity for those looking to join a respected company that invests in its people and helps employees create their possible future.
