Job Description

Wawa, Inc. is a well-established and beloved convenience store and foodservice chain known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and community involvement. Founded in 1964, Wawa operates over 900 stores across the Eastern United States, serving millions of customers daily. Wawa prides itself on its unique blend of convenience store items and freshly prepared food options, including hoagies, coffee, breakfast items, and specialty beverages. As a private company headquartered in Pennsylvania, Wawa has built a strong reputation for fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and employees alike. The company focuses on creating a positive workplace culture where associates are valued and empowered to contribute to the success of the organization. Wawa is not just a place to shop, but a place to work and build a rewarding career, making it an employer of choice in the retail and foodservice sectors.

The position of Customer Service Associate (CSA) at Wawa offers individuals the opportunity to become the frontline of this beloved brand, ensuring that every customer interaction reflects Wawa's dedication to exceptional service. This role is essential in delivering the "Wow" experience by greeting customers warmly, preparing food items, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. CSAs are integral to the smooth operation of the store and the overall customer satisfaction, helping to uphold Wawa’s reputation for quality and convenience.

As a CSA, you join a team that values collaboration, efficiency, and positivity. The role requires enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Whether you're crafting built-to-order sandwiches, operating the cash register, or keeping the coffee station spotless, every task is approached with care and attention to detail. The position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments, making it an excellent opportunity for high school students, college students, or anyone seeking part-time or full-time employment.

Wawa also provides comprehensive benefits designed to support associates financially, physically, and emotionally. These include medical, dental, vision, and mental health benefits, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) with matching contributions, educational assistance, paid parental leave, store discounts, and paid time off. Furthermore, associates working night shifts receive a shift differential, recognizing the unique demands of overnight work.

The hourly wage range for the CSA role is $15.00 to $18.75, dependent on position, experience, and location, accompanied by a $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between midnight and 6 a.m. Wawa is committed to equal employment opportunities and maintaining an inclusive workplace where discrimination is not tolerated. The company provides reasonable accommodations during the application process upon request, ensuring accessibility for all candidates.

Joining Wawa as a Customer Service Associate means becoming part of a community-focused, employee-centric company dedicated to excellence and growth. This role is more than just a job—it’s a path to new skills, friendships, and professional development within a supportive environment where everyone can soar to new heights together.
