Wawa, Inc. is a well-known convenience store and gas station chain with a passionate commitment to customer service and community involvement. Founded in 1964, Wawa has grown steadily to become a beloved brand in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, operating hundreds of locations that provide fresh food, beverages, fuel, and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for millions of customers every day. Renowned for its hoagies, specialty coffee, and customer-oriented experiences, Wawa emphasizes the importance of its Associates as the core to its ongoing success and warm culture. The company prides itself on being an employer of choice, offering meaningful career opportunities, and fostering a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow professionally and personally.

The Customer Service Associate (CSA) role at Wawa is a vital position that embodies the company’s mission to make life a little better through exceptional service. This role involves being the friendly and engaging face customers interact with during their visits. As a CSA, you will greet and serve customers with warmth and efficiency, ensuring their needs are met quickly and effectively. The position involves preparing a variety of fresh food items, including breakfast options, made-to-order sandwiches, specialty beverages, and pizzas, while also maintaining an organized and clean coffee station. Operating the cash register accurately, handling various payment methods including fuel and gift cards, and adhering to age verification for restricted products are important responsibilities. Additionally, CSAs keep the store well-stocked, ensuring the shelves are fresh and inviting, and help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the store by following established policies and performing routine housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.

This role is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy multitasking, and have a genuine passion for customer service. Wawa offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $15.00 to $18.75 per hour depending on location, experience, and position, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for overnight hours worked between 12am and 6am. With flexible scheduling, a team-oriented atmosphere, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, mental health support, employee stock ownership plans (ESOP), and 401(k) with matching, this position provides both stability and growth opportunities. Joining Wawa means becoming part of a caring community that values respect, inclusivity, and shared success, making it an ideal place to start or advance your career.
