This role entails a critical position responsible for safely and effectively procuring new business while maintaining and nurturing the existing customer base. It requires frequent interaction with customers and stakeholders from various sectors including business owners, officers, and regulatory city or county inspectors involved in law enforcement related to the company's services. The ideal candidate will spend 75-90 percent of their time in the field visiting new and existing customers to ensure service satisfaction and explore new business opportunities. Responsibilities include communicating regularly with customers to assess their needs, performing cold calls and meetings in coordination with management, managing customer setups in the company's routing system, and providing daily operational reports to the general manager and procurement operations manager.

The role demands strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. It involves handling complex customer relationships and requires a professional, ethical approach in all business dealings. Candidates should be prepared to travel locally up to 90 percent, work with Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word, and manage a variety of documentation. Physical demands include frequent traveling to client sites, moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds, and spending time in stationary positions in office settings. Job Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years experience and contacts in the restaurant/food industry
  • high school diploma
  • valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR
  • able to work independently
  • working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • local travel up to 90 percent

Job Duties

  • Solicit new business and maintain existing customer base
  • communicate with customers to ensure service satisfaction and identify additional service needs
  • meet with cancelled accounts to understand reasons and attempt retention
  • schedule meetings and conduct cold calls as directed by management
  • prepare customer setup sheets and enter new customer information into routing system
  • provide daily operational reports to management
  • follow department and company procedures

  • interact professionally and ethically with customers and personnel
  • follow up on uncollected stops to resolve routing issues
