Job Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • One year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • 0 to one year direct supervisory/leadership experience required
  • Ability to use technology effectively as part of daily routine
  • Ability to commit to core values of trust, innovation, expertise, collaboration and safety
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
  • Flexibility and self-drive to excel in dynamic situations
  • Understanding of labor agreements and maintaining positive labor relations

Job Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • One year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • 0 to one year direct supervisory/leadership experience required
  • Strong planning skills

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations
  • Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes ensuring that they meet company standards and customer service specifications
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics
  • Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI)
  • Work in collaboration with customers in all aspects of operations
  • Meet regularly with team members collectively and individually to monitor progress, track performance, coach, counsel, and recognize successes
  • Cultivate team spirit with a Diversity and Inclusion initiative and promote cooperation by seeking opportunities to improve internal processes
  • Carry out performance evaluations of team members and recommend performance awards or merit increases when appropriate
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes
  • Understand labor agreement and maintain positive labor relations
  • Responsible for implementation of health, safety and security initiatives, practices and behaviors and adherence to company rules and policies
  • Provide appropriate orientation for employees and Lead Hands and equip them with necessary information, technology, and materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned
